Introduction to the Consortium
The inhibition of protein:protein interactions (PPI) is one of the most promising
approaches to the development of novel cancer therapies.
This project brings together some of Europe's leading biotech SME's and several
highly recognized academic institutes. By combining 5 distinct chemical approaches
and testing them on 3 different targets (all from different partners) a series of
innovative small-ligand tools and libraries that allow new approaches to the inhibition
of PPI in cancer will be developed.
The project is a unique opportunity to integrate novel in-silico, chemical, genetic
and ADME-based approaches to the design, synthesis and optimization of libraries
and compounds.
